Everything you need to get the most out of Timelinely.
Getting Started
Of course. Please watch here:
Video Editor
Publishing makes your annotated video shareable via a unique link. Before publishing, your video is only visible to you in your dashboard. Once published, anyone with the link can view your video and its annotations.
The yellow lines on the timeline represent the start and end points of your annotations. They mark when each annotation appears and disappears during video playback, helping you fine-tune the timing of your content.
Images uploaded as annotations can be up to 5 MB. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. Images are automatically optimized for fast loading.
Webcam recordings for annotations can be up to 2 minutes long. This applies to both audio-only and video recordings added as annotations.
FAQs
Yes, Timelinely is completely free to use. Eventually we will implement paid plans with more advanced features, but the current functionality will remain free.
Create an account and start annotating videos right away — no credit card required.
The video of course needs to exist on YouTube, and the creator of the video also has to enable embedding for the video on YouTube.
Currently, each video can be edited by the account that created it. Collaborative editing with multiple users is not yet available, but it's something we're considering for future updates.
Not at this time, bit it's on our roadmap.
By default, your annotations are private and only visible to you until you publish your video. Once published, anyone with the shareable link can view the annotations.
Currently, Timelinely supports YouTube videos. We are exploring support for additional video platforms in the future.
Currently, Timelinely only works with YouTube videos. To use a video from Google Drive, upload it to YouTube first (you can set it as unlisted for privacy), then paste the YouTube URL into Timelinely.
Please contact us asking for your account to be deleted using this form, and we will do so within 72 hours.
